Job Description:

·         Minimum 6month of previous IT Service Desk and/or Call Centre experience required

·         Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.

·         Act as a single point of contact for phone calls and emails from staff regarding IT issues and queries

·         Receiving, logging and managing calls from internal staff via telephone and email

·         1st and 2nd line support – troubleshooting of IT related problems from in-house software to hardware, such as Laptops & PCs

·         Escalate unresolved calls to the infrastructure support team

·         Log all calls in the Service Desk Call Logging system service Now

·         To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles.

Age Limit :

28 years (relaxable for SC / STs & OBC as per Govt. rules) The engagement is purely on a temporary basis which may be extended or curtailed depending on the duration of the sponsored project, satisfactory performance/conduct of the appointee.

The Project Assistant will be working at NEERI Chennai Zonal Laboratory, Chennai. The engagement will be co-terminus with the project duration. The engagement shall not be an appointment in CSIR/NEERI, temporary or otherwise. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit for consideration for regularization / absorption.

Interested and eligible candidates may attend walk-in-Interview on March 25, 2014 (Tuesday), 10.00 am. to 1.00 pm. at NEERI Chennai Zonal Laboratory, CSIR Madras Complex, Taramani, Chennai – 600 113 in the prescribed format (Annexed) supported by copies of documentary proof for date of birth, educational qualifications, experience, etc.

Candidates should come prepared for screening test, in case large number of candidates appearing for the interview. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview. Candidates who do not fulfill the prescribed educational qualification will not be interviewed. Candidates appearing for the walk-in-interview should report to the venue before 9.30am and register. Late comers will not be entertained at any cost.
